Helping Dads (and Families) Keep on Track with the #WhirlpoolWashsquad App

The world of blogging, digital marketing, social media, public relations, online business, work-at-home-moms, etc. can be a very powerful and helpful resource to a household.  The parameters of essentially ‘being your own boss’ provides flexibility, financial assistance into a family budget, increased opportunities, networking and overall enhanced living.  The perks, while wonderful, are at the cost of much hard work, determination, long hours, travel and many occurrences that require time away from home.  When a mompreneur is away on business, its often left to spouses (or other family members) to carry on the home responsibilities, including doing the laundry.

Laundry can accumulate at the blink of an eye when you have small children or active teens. A simple arts and crafts project can require at least two pants and shirts changes.  After school sport activities can mean an entire dirty uniform right down to the smelly socks.  For a Dad, who is trying to do his best while Mom is away, laundry can be a bit overwhelming and when the kids don’t want to help it has the tendency to become quite nightmarish.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that ‘since there is an app for everything’ that Whirlpool created the Whirlpool Washsquad App.  Easy-to-use and convenient, the app has some great features:

  • The Washsquad App can assign laundry jobs to your family
    • No more fighting with the kids about who is going to do what with the laundry. Each kid can get their own assigned chore to complete.
  • Track and reward completed chores
    • Sibling rivarly takes a positive spin when competing to get laundry chores completed so that they can be tracked and rewarded on the leaderboard or Wash board.
  • Create custom laundry guides with wash and dry instructions tailored to your Whirlpool washer and dryer
    • Even after all my years of military service, I can admit that sometimes the delicate cycle vs. the handwash cycle vs. quick wash can get me a little stumped.  No need to call the wife when there are handy guides on the app.
  • The WashSquad App features a Stain Eraser guide and Fabric Coach
    • Let the kids eat chocolate ice cream while wearing a white shirt? Don’t have to buy a new replacement shirt with easy-to-understand stain removal guide on the app – cleaning stained shirts is feasible.

Want to impress your wife when she returns from her next business trip? Download the free app at http://bit.ly/GPZeAg and conquer your laundry fears!
